What guidance can you give on picking an Afghan carpet (regular smooth surface Gilim, not Qaleen)? THe carpet would need to be of a quality that i could put it on the floor and not worry about it, but i would still want it to be relatively high quality. I understand rugs from Mazar-e Sharif and Konduz are some of the best, but how are the wool Afghans valued...meaning is KPSI still important like silk Persians? What do i look for in terms of color (how do you know a natural dye from artificial), and in general how much does one pay for good quality afghans? WHat about LAA, does that count for Afghans too?
also, on a separate note, how expensive are the most expensive afghans and why (what are their qualities?)
thank you for your help and for being such great website and reputable company!
