: Two questions:

: 1-I have seen all the photos of different knot types. They all show the two ends of the yarn piece coming out to form the pile, but how do they form the knot? Does the weft just hold it in? What holds the piece of yarn in place?

: 2-I have a rug that looks like they tied two pieces of yarn to the warp before securing with the weft. Is this typical? Does that still count as one knot in the knot count?
